theatrical, amazing sound design, beautiful performances. i especially loved tom conti's portrayal of einstein. the film was brutal. if you decide to watch it, expect more of a very existential first person non-linear documentary than a blockbuster.

some of the non-linear storytelling was too jarring & some of the plot points were too subtle.

it is not like interstellar or the dark knight. it's real, raw, heavy, and asks questions. i left feeling exhausted and hopeless. great art can do that to me.

the movie has many iconic scenes. the bleachers, the test site explosion, the meeting with the president. i'm still processing it all.

one of nolan's best, without question. i think it will age very well.

it's a horror movie in parts, too. :3
